Cyril of Alexandria () was not only one of the finest Christian theologians of his day, he also stands out in the ranks of the greatest patristic writers of all generations as perhaps the most powerful exponent of Christology the church has known. He brought great influence both in church life and in making the Christian teaching and especially in the formulation of Christological doctrine in the 5th century. For the life of the holy father, little is known. He was born between AD Alexandria. The exact date of his birth we are not able to know it. He came from a wealthy family of the Greek city of Alexandria, although often the patriarch of Constantinople Nestorius calls him “Egyptian”, i.e. one who hails from Egypt, in order to taunt him. Hypatia of Alexandria Hypatia of Alexandria(ca. AD – – ) the first female Philosopher, Mathematician and Astronomer of Greek history known for accomplishing so much in times where/when women were thought so little of, so little that her exact birth date is unknown. She was the daughter of Theon the last keeper of the largest, greatest and most significant library of the ancient world “The library of Alexandria”. In this report I’m going to draw a brief history about her and I’m also going to discuss how she affected my thoughts, way of thinking but most important the way she, along with other people’s works and ideas, opened my eyes to understand the way the world works around me and how things are connected with the past specially traditional thoughts and ideas likewise mythology/religion. Hypatia was very smart and is said to be even smarter/wiser than her father. However, her father dedicated his life to teaching her how to question the world around her using philosophy, encouraging her to read and also handing her his work to edit and write down in order to be preserved later at the great library. She was also of a great beauty known to almost every citizen of the city at that time and that’s because her father also combined physi
