Mechanical Recording Workshop: Operatic voice study

Organised by Dr. Barbara Gentili and Dr. Inja Stanovic, Mechanical Recording Workshop: Operatic voice study aims to explore interactions between singing and mechanical technologies, focusing on the production of various types of wax cylinders and 10-inch discs. As part of the two-day event, we will run a mechanical workshop with professional opera singers. By placing singers in front of the recording horn, we will observe their reactions and adaptations to the playback in terms of the quality of their vocal production, legato, portamento, dynamics and tempo variation.

Inizia a studiare canto in giovane età sotto la guida del M. Elena Sabatino e successivamente, presso il conservatorio G. Martucci di Salerno, prosegue gli studi con il M. Filippo Morace dove consegue la laurea di primo e secondo livello con il massimo dei voti e lode.
Vincitrice di concorsi nazionali e internazionali debutta nel 2013 nel ruolo di Meg (opera Falstaff di Giuseppe Verdi) con l’”associazione musicale Tito Gobbi” e con la stessa debutta nel 2015 nel ruolo di Carmen.
Nell’anno 2018 debutta nel ruolo di Mércèdes (Opera Carmen si George Bizet) con l’AsLiCo e nello stesso anno debutta nel ruolo dell’istitutrice e del Gatto (opera La spada nella roccia di Concetta Anastasi) presso il teatro regio di Parma (Regio Young).
Attualmente è un’allieva dell’Accademia Verdiana presso il teatro Regio di Parma.
