South Korean pre-debut training team
SM Rookies (Korean: 에스엠루키즈, stylized in all caps as SMROOKIES) is a pre-debut training team created by South Korean entertainment agency SM Entertainment in 2013, composed of trainees who have yet to join an idol group.[1] From 2013 to 2023, the team officially introduced 35 members, of which 30 debuted under SM Entertainment as part of Red Velvet, NCT, Aespa, Riize, and Mytro, with rookie Lami debuting as an actress. Since 2024, the team has no currently active members.

SM Entertainment formally announced the creation of SM Rookies on December 3, 2013, featuring members Seulgi, Jeno and Taeyong.[2] On December 9, Irene, Jaehyun and Lami were introduced. On December 16, members Mark, Hansol, and Jisung were introduced, followed by Johnny, Ten and Yuta on December 23.
In January 2014, SM Rookies opened their official Twitter account. Wendy was introduced on March 13, 2014, with the song "Because Of You", recorded for the soundtrack of the SM C&C-produced series Mimi. On March 19, 2014, a video of Wendy singing "Speak Now" by Taylor Swift was released. In Apri

Lee Je-no (Korean: 이제노; born April 23, 2000), known professionally as Jeno, is a South Korean rapper, singer and dancer. Jeno began his career as a child commercial model. He was discovered by SM Entertainment at the age of thirteen. Jeno officially debuted in August 2016 as a member of South Korean boy band NCT through the sub-unit NCT Dream.
Jeno hosted the television program The Show from May 2018 to November 2019.

[edit]Jeno began his career as a child model in various commercials in South Korea throughout his childhood.[1][2]
Jeno was introduced as one of the first members of SM Entertainment's pre-debut team, SM Rookies, on December 3, 2013.[3] In 2014, he made his first appearance as a member of SM Rookies, alongside fellow NCT members Mark, Jaemin, Haechan and Jisung, on Exo 90:2014, a reality TV Show starring Exo.[4] In 2015, he appeared as a Mouseketeer alongside other SM Rookies members on Disney Channel Korea's show The Mickey Mouse Club, which aired from July 23 to December 17, 2015.[5]
